Measurement of internal combustion engine performance on a chassis dynamometer
Farka, Jan ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
Since the beginning of the automotive industry, a lot of years have passed and the characteristics of vehicles and all its components, especially the engine, are being given greater and greater emphasis both in terms of safety, performance and ecology. The performance of the internal combustion engine, along with a number of other vehicle features, is measured on chassis dynamometers. The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyse the dynamometers produced, the tests performed on them and also to measure the performance of the internal combustion engine on the chassis dynamometer. In conclusion, the assessment of the impact of tests on the automotive industry is just mentioned.
Design of a functional model of a chassis dynamometer
Sobota, Matej ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The aim of my diploma thesis was engineering design of 4x4 chassis dynamometer model at 1:10 scale for presentation purpose and for testing RC cars models. The first part describes the current types of chassis dynamometers. The main goal of the thesis was designed the model itself in order to produce some parts of the dynamometer using 3D printing. The work also includes production drawings of individual parts and economic estimate of the entire production.
Measuring the power of IC-engines
Adamec, Vojtěch ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with topic measuring the power and the torque of internal combustion engines on chassis dynamometer. The aim of the thesis was to show advantages and disadvantages of different types of dynamometers, to make review of standards for measuring power on chassis dynamometer, effect of atmospheric conditions, resistances and slippage. Thesis also describes evolution, different designs of chassis dynamometers, effect of roller diameter to rolling resistance and deformation of tire, suitable types of dynamometers for chassis dynamometer, equipment of testing room, modes of operating and differences between static and dynamic power testing. In the end I have made prediction of incoming development devices of this type with regard to evolution of intelligent chassis control systems and electric vehicles.
The use of a chassis dynamometer in automotive development
Obid, Daniel ; Březina, Michal (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the use of chassis dynamometers, which are an integral part of the development centers of the world's automobiles. The main goal was to create an overview of design solutions. Using information materials from AVL, the use of these dynamometers in automotive development was summarized. The used measuring cycles and their development after the "DieselGate affair" were presented.
